CT House

2017

93250 Kuching, Sarawak.

Located in Polarwood Estate, CT House is found amid a medium-density housing area in Kuching. The modern residence’s overall L-shaped layout is positioned to make full use of the spacious rectangular land of about 1.62 acres.

The highlight of CT House is its long linear corridor, resembling the spine of the residence. Stretching from one end to the other, this circulation spine brings together all spaces of the house consisting of services, public and private zones.

A corresponding linear skylight diffuses light in to the corridor as well as its adjacent dwelling spaces. Natural lighting is harnessed without sacrificing privacy, as timber and aluminium lattice screens shade dwelling spaces within like a veil around the house.
