House at Jalan Song

Located at Friendship Park, Kuching, a well-established neighbourhood, this semi-detached house was built in 1990s, consists of two floors. Additions and alterations were carried out to design for an elderly couple with wheelchair friendly access.

Integration of perforated brick screen, skylights, glass blocks and windows enhance the natural lighting within the interior spaces while maintaining a connection with outdoor natural elements without breaching own privacy.

 

Open layout improves air circulation and visual transparency. For easier manoeuvres, bedroom and bathroom facilities on the ground floor are designed to be more spacious and with connective circulation with the kitchen and living area.
